Gah!! This story was just so beautiful period.

I couldn’t put it down.

A young adult, friends to lover theme is my weakness and Manhattan delivered this style and theme bang on.

The third instalment of The Becker Boys saga is Manhattan. And with each book in this series, Kandi’s story telling just gets better and better.

By far, my favourite thus far.

Manhattan is Mikey’s story, the youngest of the Becker Boys.

His journey is about rising up and owning his life, finding gratitude, love and passion again after his heart was broken from his high school sweetheart.

Even though Mikey is only eighteen years old his character is so beyond his years. A young man that had to grow up in a house with no father from a young age surrounded by his older brothers and his wonderful momma, he’s a wonderful mix of southern charm with some teen brooding going on. All the while trying to understand and grasp this big new world he’s venturing into.

His world gets a little lighter when Kylie his childhood bestie comes back into his life and attempts to make Mikey see and feel all the wonderful gifts he’s surrounded by before he tries to flee from a life he thought he was done with.

Kylie is such a sweetie. A loyal friend who has seen her own share of heartache but finds the positive and love in everything she touches.

Reading this book and watching these characters come to life was joy.

Brought me back to my youth and reminded me of young love.

Loved Mikey’s and Kylie’s connection, the simplicity of their friendship and the beginning of their rediscovery of one another. Watching their attraction blossom and their love grow pulled on my heartstrings.

Kandi did a phenomenal job with dialogue as always and love that we had both characters POV to read from.

Can’t wait to read Jordan’s story next and finally find out what happened all those years ago to Mr. Becker.

Great series one of my Kandi favourites.

Highly recommended
