The Exiled Prince, Jeana E. Mann

I was pleasantly surprised with this book.

Not being a huge fan of the Cinderella premise, I was a little hesitant when I got my hands on this ARC. But Mann managed to win me over with what turns out to be a more emotionally in-depth storyline than I anticipated.

Without giving too much away, this is a thoughtful love story centred around a theme of destiny and fate. With its surprising twists and turns, and a surprising focus on real life issues like dealing with Alzheimer’s , this story also doesn’t miss the mark on witty and superb internal dialogues.

A little mystery, a lot of sexy and some twists and turns keeps you invested in Rourke and Roman’s steamy connection. I found Rourke surprisingly relatable and Roman was well…Roman. Hot and demanding and complicated as hell.

To top it off, I can’t wait for Nick’s story to be fully revealed in the following book (I hope) to allow for a feeling of full circle and closure.
